Starting today I'm testing running kdice on a new server stack. This means a different architecture and code base. Ideally the site runs the same as yesterday.
If there are significant issues I'll switch back. Otherwise please post any bugs you notice and I'll do my best to fix them quickly. |

at 6:55 PM, Sunday June 1, 2014 EDT The old stack was one java app running in tomcat. The new one is divided into components. There is a kdice process, xsketch and gpokr. There are also "gateway" processes that scale horizontally. Its all kind of technical.
What it means is that the application can scale horizontally much easier. It also means I can deploy new code seamlessly. Remember when I use to shut down all the tables to push an update? I can do that now without shutting anything down. In fact, I've pushed a few bug fixes today without shutting down. It really just means I can move faster with less disruption. |

When you go to kdice.com now you don't get the login-screen instantly but have to click to get it. Not a lethal problem, but a loss of convenience. I'm using firefox, if that matter. |
