Change the fucking table point limits

It's getting pretty old trying to beg people to play 2k and 5k tables. Why are there people with 20k sitting at zero tables?
The typical response is "won't start". You get twenty five people saying "won't start" and then everyone sits at the 100 tables because the perception is those tables start quick and the 2k / 5k take forever. It's BECAUSE of douche lords like you that the tables take forever to start. Grow a pair. I don't expect everyone who has 2-5k to be sitting at the 2k or 5k tables, 500's are reasonable in that bracket, but seeing people with 20k at zero and 100 tables is ridiculous. And preemptively - before the noobs tell me PGA is rife at the 2k tables, it's a myth. a) What you perceive as PGA is usually your own poor reading of the board / poor play. If you attack someone all game and then expect to flag them, don't be surprised if they wont take it. Don't be surprised if someone rewards the guy who DIDN'T fuck them. It's not PGA, it's people being able to read and make the most of their situation. People look for opportunities to farm and get dom. Get some strategy, don't just cry that everyone is PGA and the world is out to get you. b) I'm posting this as someone who has NO allies at the 2k / 5k tables. Virtually every table I sit at has at least one person PGEing me. I have over 500 negative reviews. If i can brave it with the odds stacked against me, so can you. /rant |

It doesn't matter how many points you make, at the end of the day everyone should not be pressured to play a higher table because they have more points. Just sit where ever you want.

This is a guy who claimed a person with a 3 stack and 2 stack and who flagged out 5th cos it wasn't worth it was PGA-ing with someone who ate their entire base. Watch out for that blood pressure pal, it'l getcha in the end! But I agree with Thrill, people don't want to play big tables because they'l lose points and won't win a white medal...where's the logic? lol Playing for fun is playing for fun but at the end of the day if you have enough points to sit the big tables then you're obviously being somewhat competitive too and have no reason to not go further. |

I think y'all are making a pretty big assumption here. A lot of people who have a shit-ton of points got them via members tournies. They aren't necessarily good at regular tables. In fact, they suck. They consistently lose points at the big tables because they aren't as good as the regular players when it comes to playing a regular game. I can't blame them for not wanting to sit at a table where they know they will statistically lose points while also facing the stress of being mocked/belittled by the others at the table. If you've ever sat at a blackjack table with a srs player, and you just want to have fun, you know, it absolutely sucks. Not only do you slowly bleed money, but it's not even fun because of the jerk who points out every flaw you make. The real reason that big tables don't start any more is because the player population has gone down. All the people that used to enjoy risking/losing/winning up there have slowly retired. As have a lot more lower-level players that we used to leech our points off. I dunno, I could be off, I haven't played in awhile. oh, sup Brighty. <3 |

But with monte's point look at the top 20 the last few months. Do decent at a members tourny you get 1000 pts. 20 days a month 20k, insta medal. I assume the site is being run as a business so encourage membership make some money. Great model and it seems to be working. Those guys cant play regular tables cause they would get throttled most games.
