What the hell is this bug?

So I got 1st in an end month tourney game and when it was down to just me and one other guy (Flynt) the turns auto ended super fast with no time to click or do anything and somehow it sat me out, I got 2nd and he got 1st. I think he sat out but I was still sitting in. There’s a chance I might of sat out while typing but, I would of sat right back in had this not happened. It happened over like 1 or 2 seconds, it looked like lag or a bug just instantly ending turns and then the game was over. You can't sit in, end turn, or do anything in-between. I’ve seen it once before but don’t know wtf it is. Pretty pissed about it since it costed me 1st.

at 7:47 PM, Tuesday December 31, 2013 EST If you are away and the other person sits out the game will go into a weird "finishing mode" that causes turns to go by in a flash and whoever was the last person sitting in wins that game.
