OK, here's the deal. We all know the luck% sucks and doesn't really reflect your luck.
I think some people would like to know how many dice they roll on average. Screw it, I want to know myself and I'm willing to award a contributor badge for whoever is capable of writing a tiny greasemonkey script that records your roll results. oh and if it wasn't clear what I mean with average dice roll: in theory you should roll 3,5 on average with a 1 stack, 7 with a 2, 10,5 with a 3 stack, etc. So if you divide roll result by the height of the stack, you get the average dice rolled/roll that I'm looking for (a value of about 3,5) required features: * greasemonkey script, other types of easy to work with scripts are negotiable * store data in a cookie or txt file * read out the roll data from the roll info box and filter it out so you record your own attack and defend results * record roll data per game, per day, per month, and all-time * visualise data in a small box bonus features: * record and display roll average of every player live during the game * store last 10 game history * make the script compatible with deadcodes toolkit * keep extra stats for roll avg in first 2 rounds (this is where good luck is a key factor) * keep seperate 8v8 stats gl if anyone is interested in making this |

Also, raw luck doesn't tell much of a story. I mean I roll 6,6 suiciding an island on an 8-stack (and don't win) and I'm considered lucky? In my mind, luck calculations should be relative to tell the real story. I don't care if I roll 4.5 on average, when my opponents are rolling a 5.5 on avg. I just care about if my roll won or not. So luck should be based upon the success rate of an attack/defense, not on the raw avg/die. I'm slammed at work right now, but otherwise this is something I could pump out pretty quickly. I just don't see the value. |

"So luck should be based upon the success rate of an attack/defense, not on the raw avg/die." -> that's what luck% does and it's no good defend a 3v1 on a meaningless stack and lose a few rolls to be killed early and you might be 7th with 53% luck. Sure, a roll avg will probably also be able to give you false positives or negatives: sucky games where your avg is good if you mainly lost the key rolls and roll crazy high on less important ones. Not claiming this stat is great. I just think it would be at least as interesting as luck%. If you get a good roll average for say 10 rounds, I doubt you would end up with a bad result. Both luck% and roll avg could be improved if there was a weight being added for the importance of the roll: cut attempts, connects or reconnects (after a cut) should get a double weight, same for rolls between 2 biggest stacks of 2 players (7v6 or XvX, winner will probably wipe out other player after that so key roll) a round 1 4v3 is also far more important than a 4v3 in round 5 when people are slowly stacking up so I would give at least a double weight to round1+2 rolls offer still stands though for anyone who would like to spend a few hours to make this in exchange for a badge |
