at 12:53 PM, Friday September 27, 2013 EDT The payout schemes depend on the number of players at a table.
For "0 level tables" the payout is +100 for first, +0 for 2nd/3rd and -50 for 4th/5th when only 5 players were sitting at the table; +125 for first, +25 for 2nd, +0 for 3rd and -50 for 4/5/6th when 6 players were sitting at the table; finally, +125 for first, +25 for 2nd, +0 for 3rd/4th and -50 for 5/6/7th when 7 players were sitting at the table. As you can easily figure out, the sum of the + and - payouts is always 0. It's still not a real zero-sum game as you also get +50 for every kill. |

at 12:57 PM, Friday September 27, 2013 EDT Btw. the old payout schemes very quite different (e.g. 2nd/3rd places were slightly better but 1st was less lucrative), it was changed to provide an additional incentive for winners so that you can't really win much by flagging early for 2nd instead of taking risks/trucing to get 1st.
The kill bonuses were implemented to promote a more aggressive playing style. |
