that's my idea about them too, especially if the +50 gets added as last so people can survive thanks to them

if the +50 was just added to your score and THEN the points of your loss were deducted, things wouldn't be so bad

example:

someone in top 3 has >250 and the round level is 250 so max you can lose is 250

someone with 225 takes -225 and is out
someone with 225 and a kill takes 225 +50 -250 and is left with 25

the point of tournaments is to knock people out and the current bonus award at the last moment drags out tournaments because way less people die.

Another problem with them are game to game favors. Some friends give other friends a kill so they stay in for sure. or kills are traded from game to game.

Anyway, to completely agree with das, kill points in tournies are pretty bs.

I advised Ryan from the start to not use kill bonusses in tournaments or worst case, add them as first and then deduct the losses.

i think that if they were smaller and/or the bonus skips players after theyve reached zero, then maybe it would be better. for now, i am on the 'kinda bs' bus. plus the kill bonus adds so much more time to the tourney.

I think the solution is to remove them from the tournament scoring so that they do not interfere with the tourny scoring. Then award them to the monthly score when the player is eliminated.

yeah, I thought about something like that too (awarding the kill bonus outside of the actual tournament)

it could be something like 5 or 10% of your buy in so if you manage 10 or 20 kills, you played for free

Yep. They've been removed in my local build. Next time I update they won't be in Tournies.

I've also fixed the point issue with 5 players and an empty seat.
