Added kill bonuses. What do you think? Good bad? They are reported when you get your score at the end. The caveat is that they're currently not adding the bonus to your score. Will turn that on tomorrow.

and it has been much asked for.... to encorage a more daring playstyle even though on the downside it may also lead to non accepting and stabbing flags...let's see what will be the outcome ! Certainly the game will be more dynamic from now on, esp. on the smaller tables, unless the kills would pay better on higher tables which would make sense... ( 50 pts are comparatively little on a 2 and 5 k table to encourage more risky play) whereas they still matter on 500s. Else 0 and 100 tables will have to be played quite differently from high score ones - as you much less risk at stake there and simply make points by kill instead of placings / ranking. What is the idea on this Ryan? |

This should discourage early flags and avoid BS for additional bonus points. Might not be easy ti implement so ... |

at 3:47 AM, Saturday July 20, 2013 EDT Ryan, I know generally my opinion is worthless. But I think having a 50 pts kill bonus at 0 and a 50 pts kill bonus at 500 and at 2k and at 5k seems silly. At 0 tables, 50pts per kills is HUGE. At 5k and 2k where flagging and hiding is the most rampant, 50 points is meaningless. I think this new system will be MOST affective if you make it scale.
I propose kills = 1/10 of the table. +10 per kill at 100 +50 at 500 +200 at 2k +500 at 5k. point whores will kill someone for 500 points at 5k, im pretty sure. But for 50? nah... OTF is worth more than that. |

and I wonder what would be the general opinion about implementing a similar ( since not quite comparable) idea in tourneys which could turn out as a wild card, e.g. if a player on a 6 person table in 4th place would genuinly be out by reamining points and yet by killing 1 or 2 other players he could save himself into the next round... with the extra 'kill points' ? Other suggestion: accumaulate kills within several rounds of a tourney and let's say 3 - 5 kills will give you a wild card (joker) to continue if else out... |
