This is EXACTLY why we need lower table limits

So games like this don't happen anymore and 100s are actually for players with 100-499 points. Again, I advocate one month with strict table limits, to see what would happen. |

And I apologize to anyone that feels offended by me caring too much, I'll try to return to the expected state of apathy and disinterest soon. |

Other than that - if they have fun playing that way, what's wrong with it? |

at 11:58 AM, Wednesday March 23, 2011 EDT hmmm... how about you can play on those tables, but can't receive any points for whatever your position? Maybe they can rack up other stats (kills, wins, etc.) but they just wouldn't receive points?
I personally don't like to play below my current point limit (unless there just aren't tables to play at at that level), but if they are having fun on 100 tables, then they could continue to play there... they just wouldn't bump their scores up. |

at 12:22 PM, Wednesday March 23, 2011 EDT So let them play the 100s without any repercussion whatsoever, harassing smaller players and ruining games? Yeah, perfect idea. Right now they lose like 2% for failing miserably, let's correct that to 0%.
The reason we want to lower table limits is to protect players from those risk averse players. We want players with 100-499, or 500-1999 to win points and advance to the next level. If players that could play 2k come down to the 100s and win that game, they effectively steal the points from those that want to get ahead. Even when they lose, they usually take their island big stacks and suicide it on some guy with 120 points. This behavior needs to be stopped. And Louis, I don't know what you're not seeing here. Every dice is visible. |

at 10:29 PM, Wednesday March 23, 2011 EDT You are advocating shooting people for playing an online game in a way you don't like? Let people play they want to play. Part of this game is learning other people's tendencies and adjusting accordingly. If you think they are gonna do something crazy, then learn how to use that to your advantage.
Also, it is amazing to me that someone with so many medals can sit and complain about play at such a low level table. Also you argument doesn't make sense...someone with many points on a main account can easily use an alt on your capped 100 games and play as "recklessly" if they want to. You can't stop this no matter what you do. There are more important things in this world to worry so much about. |

In addition - which harm is done playing at lower tables than you could? You are not stealing anything, you can lose your points. I fail to see any damage besides less 2k/5k games going on making it harder for those only looking at medals and score to reach new records and career highs... (ups - that's an interesting aspect, isn't it Mr. 22-medals, close to 1.000.000 points, career 18th?). I slowly get an idea of who might be hurt by many players not investing their points at high tables. Games at lower tables start faster if more people play there. Assuming that you really are better and not have just been more lucky, the worse players could learn from you. On rare occasions you might flag out because you don't care about those 100 points that mean a lot to the one at 501 (rare occasions). |
