oddity when starting last 3x3dice

ok so I played allendarcy and got to start last. not a problem in itself.

but somehow I only got three territories w 3 dice each, all over the place, and couldnt connect them.
obviously i finished 7th before the game ever really started for me, thats not my point and Im used to that.
the odd thing here, why im posting this, was that i had only been allocated three territories, and only 3 dice stacks on them, they were not in any corner nor close to each other.

now, i was under the impression that there is some coding that compensates both the 6th and 7th starting place with either

extra dice/large stacks
extra territory
placement of several of those territories in a corner or in favorable proximity to each other (not sure about this last one, maybe im only seeing things)

(which is why personally i think that starting 6th is the best starting position since u get those bonuses yet still get to start before 7th)

allendarcy is a small map with 26 territories, that should have meant either four territories or at least better than just 3stacks on them for the player starting 7th (or 6th).

what do you think? is this a bug? im a bit puzzled, never seen that before. i mean i see shitty setups all the time, but only due to the random placement. this here, with 3x3, no connect, seems weird w/r/t coding.

I just watched a game start at that table. Every player started with 9 dice. Interestingly enough, 6th and 7th had only 3 lands while 1st through 5th all had 4 lands. 6th and 7th each began with a 5 stack, 3 stack, and 1 stack. 1st through 5th all start with two 3 stacks, a 2 stack, and a 1 stack.

The advantage would appear to be in having one large stack to attack with at the beginning. However, this does not explain you starting with three 3 stacks which carries little to no advantage at all.
