I think you should never be able to remove reviews from your own page, even as insulting some can be or loaded with false accusations.

Yes I hate those too but reviews stay a great tool for people to post feedback and I wouldn't touch the concept, even with the negative aspects of it.

In theory you could ask an advisor to force the concerned player to replace his comment by a new one, erasing the original. If he refuses, the mod could ban the player.

But I think this would go too far in moderating this site and actually the biggest problem is the extra workload for the advisors. your case is a more justified one but I bet at least 10 players a day could contact the mods for a false pga accusation or another unfair childish review. There are more important problems to keep under control on kdice and it's a matter of prioritising imo.

But I wouldn't worry too much. If someone reads that review, he will know what to think about the poster, not about you. A review wall needs to be over 30-50% filled with bad reviews before you can be sure a player is an ass.

not true Jurgen. about 85% of the time that someone takes the time to write a review about someone, it is a negative one (regardless of whether or not it is deserved). most people don't rush to write a review about someone when they play a game fairly/normally/how it should be played

I don't see a conflict between those 2 statements. You can argue a bit about the right % estimates but the order of magnitude seems right twice I think: someone unhappy with how you played is much more likely to post you a review compared to someone who appreciated how you played (so your 85% seems OK) and with that in mind I only consider a person an ass when 30-50% of his reviews are bad.

when I played a person enough myself, I don't even read the reviews, my own experience with them is much more important. Many good players collect lots of bad reviews, regardless of being an ass anyway.

mr K you have 5 bad reviews over your first two pages... even if the other 41 reviews are positive, that's less than 95%.
You all really shouldn't make up statistics that are easily checkable when I'm around. [:

I'm pretty sure the majority of positive reviews have either come from friends or alts OR are given to girls. though I suppose among top players they're not all sore losers, so this may not be the case.

well, 4 because the one from grandgnu is ment as a joke. and since almost all of the other 61 are positive, exept for a few that is neutral. it means that about 4/57 is about 92-93 % good reviews
