Roll-off Vs. Kill-off

New proposal for replacement of the roll off:
As vflags are becoming less popular, it is time to reconsider the roll off. Thanks to the useful post on the meaning of a vflag, the game play is much improved. However, there are still those players so desperate to place 5th or 6th that they will hold a small and isolated territory waiting to call for a roll off with a player on the other side of the board. As an incentive to fight until the end, I suggest the "kill off". If a player thinks they should be 5th and not 6th, they should prove it by staying alive longer. Unlike the roll off, the desperadoes and dirt farmers will be required to employ dice skills and politics. Also unlike the roll off, a player who can actually flag 5th will likely have a better chance defending against the kill off than the player in 6th who wants the roll off.
