Hate it that the game has changed drastical... I got the email from ryan, asking me to come back to Kdice... though after playing a few games, the preflagging made me realise it just isnt fun anymore... people get protected for no reason! FIGHT! or put up a real flag...

at 5:46 PM, Tuesday September 7, 2010 EDT I think what this man is trying to say is that immigration is at too much of a high level. They are working at hotels as maids, waiters and some even got jobs at local gas stations. This must stop because soon we will not have enough jobs to go around and our glorious white people will slowly die out and minorities will take over the world and become majorities. Discuss (I am not a racist, I'm just retarded. :D)

at 1:30 AM, Wednesday September 15, 2010 EDT I agree. I recently started playing again after a couple of years. Verbal flagging has taken all of the strategy and fun out of the game. There are now almost no games where more than 2 players compete for the win. Take a scenario where there are 4 viable players. Once upon a time, you would have a fascinating game where you had to work out who to attack when, and think about what the other players might do. Nowadays, number 2 quickly flags to number 1, and they both spend the rest of the game wiping out 3 and 4. It's dull, requires no thinking, and turns the game into pure randomness.

at 9:38 AM, Wednesday September 15, 2010 EDT Agree. Its the "DEAD MAN STACKING" syndrome. Thats what really gets my dander up. When the "preflagger" only has 1 or 2 lands flags early in rounds (early rounds to me is 1-4)and does not have the ability to attack anyone except the person he/she flagged to. Thus he is protected, builds up and somehow steals high place while the rest of the table fights it out.

not true, imo verbal flagging has ADDED its own layer of intricate tactics and strategies, a layer that is very apt for a social game played w chat. it was bound to happen. op also seems to be under a false impression re. the meaning of the "real flags" he advocates. oh, and just for the record, im no fan of the virtual/chat flags myself, but thats simply how the game plays these days de facto. |

I just don't see this. The verbal flagging tactics are always obvious. It's just a race to flag to the strongest player before your competitor does. I don't see anything intelligent or subtle about it. It reduces the game to pure luck and REMOVES the human element, because you don't need to take into account the interaction between your own actions and others. |
