That's statistics. It's possible to have 20 fails in a row just as it is possible to win 3v8.

I can only wish for some luck balancing formula (like if you lose a +1 roll, another is slightly more likely to be won), but that's an old dream and that'll never happen.

i have actually seen 8v8 failing 18 times in a row.
chances for that happening is 1 out of 95500

The only command you have as a player in this game is to roll dice against other dice. This game is played 24/7 by nearly 10,000 players. In other words, shit happens, and there are a shit load of dice being rolled on this site.

which sounds small...but if you ran that scenario 100 times, you're now up to like a 30% chance that will happen.

now, lets imagine we roll that scenario 100,000 times. if that DIDN'T ever happen, that would be the statistical improbability.

java algorithms for random are flawed. There is no programmed thing that can mimic "random".

There ought to be better ways to implement some quality control, but I really think that ryan does very little these days to keep up on this site. He just makes some nice money off of it, and hopes it will take care of itself.

The best thing for him is that he's found some people on here who have nothing better to do than to moderate ryan's website for free for him. I'm guessing the power of moderator makes them happy enough.

The payouts could be shifted. Table limits could be changed, and i should be able to win at least 4/10 8v8s. But, this game is flawed.

The real tragedy isn't that the creators of this game are retards...its that you lose that many 8v8s...get mad enough to make this post and then continue to spend hours of your life...

I agree with the above poster. Go pre order your copy of SC2 now and go get on the beta! You have 5 more days till the offer expires and you have to wait until 7-27 to play.


Oh and it already has 30k people online CONSTANTLY. I think that's just a tad higher than the 10k fudged stats that Ryan puts out...Which are for months anyways not days.
