For those of you under 30, I truly don't expect you to understand the humor in the video. But I don't apologize. The best way to explain the humor for the under 30 crowd is this...

1) The dude was as square as a peg in his day. That in itself was like saying you jam to the Jonus Brothers or Christian rock now.

2) The lip sinking is just bad. Liken it to bad Brittany Spears lip sinking.

3) His look is like a quintessential "used car salesman" who can't get laid. This fact is generationally neutral.

4) The song is just as bad as any swill that was pushed out in the late 80's in the USA that opened the door wide for grunge to take over.

5) His "serial killer rapist" persona is as creepy as it gets. At least Tom Jones has some charisma (but is just as tacky)

6) PEOPLE IN THE U.S.S.R. ACTUALLY THOUGHT THIS GUY WAS TALENTED AND PAID TO SEE HIM PERFORM. <---FUNNIEST SHIT IMO

7) The combination of the innocent la la's that contrast with all points mentioned above points creates a perfect contradiction that EVERY comedian tries to achieve when telling a joke.

If you still don't get the humor in the video. you likely have never found any Gary Larson (creator of Far Side) cartoons to be humorous.
