It was a foggy morning in Byesville, Ohio, 1967. The seventeen year old star linebacker Dom Capers was doing routine drills on the high school football field. After hitting the shells, he started to throw the ball around with best friend and quarterback Greg Warner.Greg told him to go long, so Dom, with his 4.22 speed, ran. Unbelievably, Greg's throw was still too far, and landed in the woods nearby. Not bothering at all, Dom went into to collect the ball. When he found near some brush, Greg was standing over him with a sly grin on his face. "I've been waiting for this moment for a long time, Dom", Greg said. Confused, Dom got up and started to walk away but Greg held him back. With a swift motion Greg struck Dom over the head with a brick, knocking him out cold and proceeded to rape him.

23 years later, while prepping his defense for a playoff showdown with the Arizona Cardinals, Dom recognized a face he hadn't seen in years. It was Greg Warner, commiserating with his son Kurt, playing the same game of catch he was so accustomed with years ago. A flurry of rage overcame Dom so hard that he left his defense, went back to the team hotel and reorganized his gameplan. The goal was no longer to stop the Cardinal offense. This time, it was to kill Kurt Warner.
