calling people 'fags'

Today I once again had another game where I got called a 'faggot' and a 'fag'. This time cain25 used those words (and some more explicit elaboration like sucking cock etc.) because I and somebody I hadn't known beforehand engaged in some friendly conversation at the start of the game. Often, however, it is used when people team up against somebody, who then loses and calls the trucers faggots or gay or whatever.
I don't know - I may be the only one, but I don't think that insulting people is good policy at the tables. This is a friendly game - no need to insult anybody. And if there's issues with pgas or point farming, call it that, and don't insult people! Especially I don't like the wide-spread tendency to use faggot or gay as insults. Though I'm not (ever seen a gay cow?), I don't think that being gay should be used as an insult (just as the word 'nigger' which we sometimes see in the chat box). So, please, refrain from insulting people like that, and tell other people not to do that. And I hereby declare that anybody who uses insults other people like that is my pge - I actually ended up killing the insulter with my island 8 stack which made it impossible for me to win that game. I posted a convo a week back where some dude started off the game by saying "any nigs here?" and I let it slide, although I started retaliating and trying to defend "the good of kdice" but int he end, i got a few good laughs out of "feeding him" responses all the while in the end he truced me and I won the game.
Although for people like Too Gay it's probably especially difficult. So, I don't know how to help him out, but for you just try playing it off. |
