I think it'd be nice if the away players didn't get any dice at the end of their turns. The random stacks of 8 dice can kinda get in the way in some games.

And another little idea, maybe the first couple players, or maybe the whole first round, should get some extra time on the timer to assess the board a little bit?

Anyway, great game, it's like 70% of the fun of Risk with about 10% of the time commitment :)

Sure, I'll stop extra dice for players sitting out more than one hand. You get one free sit out. On the second and so on you're out of luck.

Keep in mind that most away players have just been disconnected because the game is apparently unable to keep a connection open, no fault of their own. So it's not really fair to penalize these players. It's annoying enough to keep getting disconnected and lose turns, but it will be even more annoying if lost turns don't even get extra dice. How about fixing the disconnect problem?

I like that the away players still get stacks of dice. I use them as a shield when I can.

Oh, also sometimes I will mark myself as away for a few turns because I know I'm just going to hit "end turn" for a while anyway. Just my two cents. Or four.

I think letting away players get their dice on the first one is good, then not the second time.

Although I was unaware that people were getting disconnected and having to come back, the only time that's happened to me was when the whole server was down.

Having the away players get dice isn't all bad or anything, but if that feature were taken away I wouldn't miss it.

We're seeing some away players last longer than regular players by just sitting still and adding dice. Dominant players needn't bother to eliminate them till last, and active players often won't have the density of dice to attack them.

How about having away players automatically have their surrender boxes checked? Or maybe after the free sitout turn(s) have gone by.

I had a game down to three players, a clear winner, me with a handful of territories and an away with one. I wanted to surrender and secure second.
