It's funny how the people that harass us the most try to persuade to join their web site.

Anyway, after deleting his spam from the database I have these totals:

Dear Ryan,

I realized that dicelord was accusing you of creating a flawed scoring system and lobbied to get it changed. His tactics were admirable if annoying. But really interests me is whether the proof is in the pudding.

How many long time players have left and how many new players are staying?if there is a decrease then it behooves you to figure out how to retain "customers". If you numbers have increased then...

The bottom line is it's Ryan's ball and he can do what he wants with it!

So has DiceLord been barred or just sanitised?

Aiden, I probably wasn't clear. Dicelord spammed everyone's profile several times. I asked him to stop. Then I guess he thought he had enough of peoples trust from the spamming to start a forum. Nobody showed up so he continually spammed this forum. Then I caught him creating an account (same ip as dicelord) and bumping irrelevent posts from months ago to the top to push new posts, that did not have to do with dicelords forum lower. This was where I had to draw the line.

It has nothing to do with scoring. Traffic has been fairly flat for 8 months at 6000-7000 uniques per day.

What you should notice is that scoring changes have pushed away many of the "regular" players who would cheat month after month. They're also the ones who were most vocal about the changes because it hurt their ability to cheat.

I'm still actively devloping Kdice and sometimes that means some sacrifices for the greater good. The goal is to make the game perfect as many ways as possible. There will be a performance update Dec 1.

I have nothing against the scoring system. Something about the dice roll odds is seriously f'ed up.

just curious... could you provide some details as to who 'the "regular" players who would cheat month after month' were? quite intrigued here.
