Dominance not calculated fairly?

Seriously, dominance does not recognize being an underdog. I just spent the better half of a game fighting off someone 4x my size. I took several of their territories and even was able to do quite a bit of damage before being taken out by them (this gave other people time to catch up - I'm also talking about the 8v8 portion of the game).

Yet, I get a large number negative for dominance? Why? I thought dominance was to deter people from sitting in a corner waiting for 2nd. But, it has a nasty side effect of greatly punishing an underdog.

Of course dominance doesn't recognize being an underdog. Its an algorithm. It counts territories.
