Generally people will believe you if you say something. Said thing does not have to be true. Thus you can say you are flagged for second when you are actually planning to build and take first. (Don't worry, people won't check to see if you actually flagged).

It's gotten me first place in a lot of spots I would've finished worse. And the people who remember and try gunning for me at the start of a game tend to overextend themselves and help me gain a better position. Even if they manage to beat me, I get the joy of seeing them make dumb moves to screw me, thus screwing themselves. It's all about finding pleasure in the suffering of others. |
