Have an Alliance Broken Counter. If a player breaks an alliance other people should be forewarned

I've had 3 people backstab me now. I'd like to be warned if they regularly break alliances!

You might want to use a similar approach with the one for <a href="http://aplayr.com/kdice/kdice/forum/topics/secret%20pre-game%20alliances">PGA</a>;.

As alliance breakers can't be reliably proved, one choice is to have athread of alleged alliance breakers, and avoid players that were reported recenly.

Well Im thinking of some kind of thing that would officially declare alliances. Maybe you ticked a box or something and then you have an alliance with that person for the rest of the game. You can't attack him or remove the alliance

This would not only stop all alliances but make people think carefully about who they have one with

should have a pre alliance counter too!

So 5mins ago I got stabbed in the back again.

Only this time everyone who saw what happened actually said 'that isn't fair' and started attacking the traitor! It was very uplifting to find people actually gave a damn that he'd broken our truce.

In the end the traitor was destroyed and lost more points then he would have done. Nice :)

But this is the first time out of 5 times someone's helped me out

I think we need something like a traitor warning list, because other things are a bit difficult.
The list begins with the player which has broken the most truces. How sounds it?

I've played a lot and never been betrayed. Would encourage too much negativity.

With the current system I don't like backstabbers because it's just greedy, but ideally I think alliances should rarely be until the end of the game. But as is an alliance broken counter would be nice. Various profile awards including "back stabber" or "pre-allied" would also be neat if done with a sense of humour.

You can always keep track of the backstabbers on your own, and refuse to play with them

I don't like the idea. I never break an alliance, but what if som1 says i do? Or more than one person?

I have several friends. What if i ask all of them to say that a player i don't like breaks truces?

Well, they're good people, so i guess they wouldn't do it. =P

Maybe there should be a system that allows you to post in som1's prifile a message that cannot be erased. But that would be ugly too.

There's no perfect way to do this. The only way is remember, and tell others. The others may believe you or not.

When some players says that another player backstabs/pretruces/whatever i decide whether i take my chances with him or not.
