Perhaps they could do it on a certain table on a certain time (e.g. Sunday at 15, 17, 19, 21, 23... CET - this would be fun for watchers as well as get rid of their "static" behaviour not to play... If they don't play, they lose 20p.

the players are living around the world - with different times... And perhaps they don´t have time to play at special times - ´cause they have to work, to spend time with their family´s...
So I think this is a fine idea, but not realy practical...

There seems to be a lot of proposals and suggestions that try to address the fact that top players play few game, and there are few games going on on the 1900 tables.

People can't be forced, the -3 point/day penalty didn't achieved its goal.

Some type of "top active players" (but how to define this is not trivial) might convince people to play with the top rated aliases. Because the top players do play daily, but undercover :)
