Annual ASR and TAZD*: End-of-November update

If you'd like to join, just say so! You'll need 35 games per month, so right now you need 385 total games so far this year to compete.
I only combine accounts in special circumstances (e.g. when montecarlo was un-cursed and monte switched back to that account from the full monte).

The TAZD* is a (very) modified Pearson's chi-square. Basically, your percentage profile is compared to the zero datum (shown below). If you've got a better-than-expected first, second, or third place percentage, you gain little TAZD* points. If you have more than expected fourth through seventh, you lose little TAZD* points. The farther you are from expected (in the right direction), the better. All the little TAZD* for each place are added together, then multiplied by the square root of the total number of games you've played, capped at 200 per month (so right now the max games multiplier is 2200). I know this is somewhat complicated so if you have any questions, let me know!

Zero Datum:
07.2 07.9 10.2 14.0 17.5 20.3 22.9

As it stands, the formula for the ASR is as follows:

(4*1st place % + 3* 2nd + 2*3rd + 4th - 6th - 2*7th)(table points)+games/25

(also capped at 200 games/month)
Again, let me know if you have questions or have feedback about modifying the ASR! You can post here or email me at [email protected] :)

Here are the current standings, sorted by TAZD*!

Wow, 4th in some statistics. I am impressing myself. According to my own reasoning I must have been cheating and should be banned. If only I knew how I did it, I might do it again....

What does this stat mean in simple words with as little math as possible? :-)

ASR: Good percentage profile (eg lots of firsts and not a lot of 7ths) and lots of table points improve your score
ASRm: Just the percentage profile bit of the ASR
TAZD*: Measures deviation from a set percentage profile. A good percentage profile and lots of games (up to 200 per month) improve your score
