It is a game involving diplomacy and a very little strategy rather than pure military strength - what did you expect? Well, I guess the rules will be changed to "correct" this mistake. ;-))

If we count canada as an american state (which it is) then it ain't so bad....

I you'd count Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and the other to be occupied future states it might further improve ;-))

Not to forget Mexico, Cuba and Panama of course...
