Has anyone else noticed that their attitude has a pretty profound effect on how well they do? Yeah, obviously there are a lot of factors going into one's success, but I find that if I've suffered a really crushing loss I'll keep on losing if I keep on playing no matter what luck I'm given with the dice. And vice versa; a great game makes all my disrectly subsequent games more successful.

I think it's because frame of mind affects the way you choose to play what you're given: I've come back to win games from a horrible position, but in a negative mood I'd probably just try to do damage control instead of actively trying to better my position.
