It seems like a lot of people are still having major problems developing strategy under the new scoring. I don't know how best to enumerate what the strategy should be, but I think it helps to go play a few games of the original dicewars. The AI in dicewars attacks much like an average player might attack with the new scoring, and so you can learn how to counter. I have found that the biggest difference in the new style is that it requires you to move your large stacks ahead without necessarily having a full rebuild behind them.

Maybe this would be a good place to post some other strategies, although I think the crazies who make the 1500 rooms the minefields that they are probably don't read the forums.
